Your 24/7 sales representative: how a simple website can multiply your sales

Ok, so you now have a visual identity that makes you stand out and branding that’s enough to make your competitors shake in their boots.

You're ready to get your product/services out there in the market, but what is the best, most cost-effective way to reach global audiences, generate new business, and provide in-depth information about your business?

We would argue a landing page, website or microsite.

If you’re an SME, you may not have access to back-end developers or coders to build you a stunning website.

Nod to the rise of the low-code / no-code revolution

There are many businesses out there offering no-code Content Management Systems (CMS). These are design-led website platforms that don’t require complex coding and back-end developers to create your website.

There are so many that we won’t name them all and add to your decision fatigue. Instead, we’ll focus on our no-code platform of choice – Webflow.

Webflow is built ergonomically to enable business owners, marketers or anyone without a computer science degree to do their job with ease and efficiency.

It empowers you to make quick updates that will allow you to get to market quickly with new products and services, but can also be scaled using integrations to grow with you if your business objective is growth (which we imagine it is).

As a web design and development agency ourselves, we generally recommend design-led platforms for SMEs due to their ease of use, whilst still recognising the need for scalability.

When choosing your website platform, there are critical questions to consider, regardless of whether you’re looking to migrate your existing site or build from scratch:

  1. Where is the data hosted?
  2. Can it translate into multiple languages?
  3. What is the hosting service level agreement?
  4. Is it GDPR compliant?
  5. How long does it take to create a design-led website?
  6. Can I use the CMS without being a developer?
  7. Can it integrate with my CRM?
  8. What is the difference between Webflow and Wordpress?
  9. Do I need to know how to code to use a low-code platform?
  10. Can I integrate third-party services and tools with it?
  11. Is it suitable for large-scale or complex projects?

Key takeaways

  • Your website is a 24/7 sales representative
  • You can increase sales and reach by having a website
  • Do your research on which CMS would be best suited for your business needs
  • Consider scalability and growth plans when implementing a website
